For voice over, I use the following signal chain: Shure sm7b>cloudlifter cl-1>wa12 preamp>1176 compression set in parallel > RME fireface802 into Cubase for post production with eq and deesser. I'm an upper midrange baritone but I have a distinctive falsetto.
