Virtual Box vm not going online. I need it to.

I used to use windows xp on my vm's, they went online just fine. Recently I decided to make a windows Vista and a windows 7 vm. Neither are connected. Its weird that older OS goes online automatically, but newer os doesn't. I'm fairly certain its something small I'm missing. A setting somewhere, because again XP would go on instantly. I have cable internet, and just use the wifi on my laptop to connect. Host is connected, just not the vm.
