I have some devices that uses HEX files. I don't know if they are Intel, Motorola or Proprietary. I have a program that can create these HEX files. This program can take some files and put then on this HEX. It works as some sort of ZIP. This program uses some DLLs. I used DependencyWalker and see some functions inside of these DLLs and looks like it would be possible to create a software to work with them. - I would like to be able to use these DLLs to disassemble some existing HEX files (not created by me). Usually they have configurations inside that I want to change. I don't know if these configurations are in a file or in some binary form - After that I would like to recreate the HEX file, now with my configurations - Optionally I could just edit the HEX file but I think this would be more complicated. I already tried HEX file Editors and changed some settings but the HEX file have a checksum so I will also need to change this checksum and I have no idea how to calculate it's value.

Majority of my full time work involves Windows CE, i'm also good with reverse engineering and disassembling DLLs. I think, this won't be a hard task for me.
