Create API - NOT APP

Hi,
this project is about creating a layer between a Microsoft SQL-server and an APP. The APP is currently being developed by another company. They have documented in github what they need from the API.
The first part of this project is to structure all info given by the APP-developers. Gather info from client about the databases of the SQL-server. Figure out what info is needed from the client or the APP-developers and structure it all into a document for development of the API. Next - the task is to develop the API and install it at the clients Microsoft Server as a webserver which can serve the APP.
The API needs to handle authentication through OpenID.
The functionality of the APP is a CRM-system. All info needed is on an MS SQL-server. The client allready has a webserver today serving users of their webpage. Users can today log in to the webpage and access their CRM-info and change it. The APP will work in a similar way.

The api is a HTTP API communicating using JSON as the content-type for both requests and responses.
It exposes 3 major resources, and some auxilary resources.
Companies - legal entities that the user and the users organization is registering activites and contacts on.
Contacts - persons related to a company, attending activities.
Activities - Representing meetings or other communications a user and the users organization is having with contacts from a company.
The api is serving these resoruces, that belong to organizations. A user accesses the resources by allowing a client- in this case the App, to act on its behalf. This is accomplished by having the user log in and authorizing the app to access the resoruces on the users behalf. The api checks the transmitted key(representing this delegated access) on each request, and makes the corresponding resources available.
