“We need a person/company to review our all kind of written documents and make it very effective in terms of fluency, expressions and grammar. If the person or company work efficiently, this will be an ongoing project. We need to getquotation per page or per hour”
Good Morning,
Thank you for the opportunity to submit my proposal for your “Document Reviewer.” I own My Offsite Assistant Darlene services and work as a “virtual assistant.” "A Virtual Assistant (VA) is a highly-skilled, independent professional who remotely provides administrative, technical and/or creative business support services" source -- VA Networking.com.
Using the services of My Offsite Assistant Darlene services or “invisible freelance secretary” has many advantages and benefits:
•Less expensive than a full time employee or temporary employee
•Use my services “as needed”
•No overhead, no insurance, no benefits, no supplies – I work offsite from my office
•Proofreading documents and websites (punctuation, editing, grammar, spelling, consistency, accuracy, fluency and formatting)
•Work on your schedule, offsite
•Proficient in MS Office 2003 and 2007 utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook
•Monthly retainer is available for other projects. Please contact me for a quote of your unique needs.
I have multi-faceted experience as an administrative assistant in sales, marketing, event planning, training, and project management fields. I also have an extensive background in proofreading.
Proofreading is checking documents for punctuation, editing, grammar, spelling, consistency, content fluency, accuracy (based on original information) and formatting. When I proofread a document, all these steps are included. It means I reread the documents several times before I finalize the document. I also proofread websites for accuracy, consistency and formatting.
Proofreading is like a 4-legged stool. One leg is punctuation, another is editing, another is grammar, and another leg is spelling. The legs by themselves are parts of the whole concept, but there is nothing holding them together. Just as the “seat” holds the four legs together, the “seat of proofreading” is consistency, formatting, accuracy, and fluency. All these qualities together hold the stool (your documents and website) together in a recognizable shape.
Often websites and advertisements have information that includes a particular date, like a special sale or a special event. After the event, the dates need to be removed from the ad text. For example, once I heard a radio ad advertising a special Memorial Day Sale. The problem was it was well past this holiday and approaching the Labor Day holiday. What probably happened was the marketers at the radio station asked for another ad, and someone just said, “repeat the last ad.” Apparently, they did not realize that the information was dated and now was out-of-date. Maybe the website has a list of products on several pages, but the names of the products are not consistent with dimensions or even the name of the same product on another page. As a proofreader, I will search and find these errors and make suggestions for changing them.
Scope of Work:
I would like to quote a package of 16 hours of work for the price of 15. That is 1 hour FREE!
My hourly rate is $40.00 per hour.
$600.00 Proofread and recommend changes as deemed necessary. Changes will include punctuation, editing, grammar, spelling, accuracy, formatting and consistency. This 16-hour package should be enough time to proofread several documents and begin to proofread a website if you have one. As more time is needed, I can quote a monthly retainer for your convenience. This will allow you to use the services as needed throughout the month.
Payment schedule:
50% ($300) due upon award acceptance
50% ($300) due upon project completion
I hope you will consider this bid favorably and contact me to begin the important job of proofreading your documents.
REMEMBER: YOU NEVER GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION.
I would like to help your company continue to make a great first impression on everyone who reads your documents.
Yours in virtual assistance, Darlene D.
