We need way to perform instrumentation wiring tracing/testing & subsequent documentation in a live PLC control system.
We are willing to collaborate with you on this project's successful completion. Please share your thoughts & respond only after reading & understanding the whole scope.
The budget is a placeholder only. Please quote your best delivery & price.
The system will have several Digital, analog in/outs instruments. 24VDC to 110VAC.
The control system will remain in use preferably during the testing phase of wiring.
One end of wire to test will be field instrument(s) & the other end of the wire is a PLC I/O module. The PLC is connected to an HMI.
We shall have the PLC, HMI documentation. We shall have a portable HMI that will have the list of I/O with live data shown, work process tracking app & the following AutoCad loop drawings.
The existing AutoCad loop drawings depict the wiring details for each instrument. Some drawings may contain more than 1 instrument also.
There are junction boxes between the field instrument(s) in some cases & the final PLC I/O destination.
The person performing the wiring test must be held accountable with the software app that will track the activities.
We can also help with developing this tracking software, if needed.
The wire tracing HW (the tracing devices we have used so far inject some kind of audio signal into wire, but do not have a PC interface.
This requires a manual data entry breaking the user accountabiity) should have some PC interface with the tracking software.
If you help find the tracing device, we can also help making its Autocad interface.
The wires have Tags on the termination points & a camera with OCR may be used to feed the wire ID into the tracking software.
There will be multiple instruments to be tested.
The AutoCad drawings need to be updated after verification of wiring.
The current version of drawings are not smart.
The drawings need to be upgraded to make them smart to have tags or some other mechanism that can be software manipulated, making the
drawings update process automatic. Another case is where the drawings do not exist at all. In that case, start with a smart drawing template & update the terminal #s & other related info on drawing. Consider doing 2 of the loop drawings of each type.
All the software developed or used other than MS or Autocad will need its source code provided & all rights vested to us.
Please specify any software required, else we shall assume none other than what is specified, is needed.
No payment will be made for defining the collaboration process. You may also resubmit proposal after the scope is well-defined.
Please keep your proposal active for a month after bidding as this requires some collaboration, discussion.
