The goal is to develop a 3D design search engine. The website will include a search engine where users will be able to search for 3D models/designs by 1) uploading a similar design in 3D format (e.g. STL, PLY or SCAD format), 2) by using keywords(text), or 3) by using a combination of both 3D designs and keywords. We already have a database of 50,000+ designs and have computed their similarity based on a 3D shape comparison algorithm. The website should be able to handle new designs, comparing them and adding them to our existing database. Please read the pdf attached and indicate that you read it in your reply.
