Support needed for Drawing in web Browser on Palm OS.
I need to be able to add a small drawing window
in a web page for display in a browser on Palm OS client.
The user will draw freehand, and I will need to capture
the points defining the drawn shapes in JavaScript and
send the data points back to a web server.
Think of this like drawing with a pencil.? ? ? User draws
some freehand shape - as he draws we capture x/y points
coordinates the stylus moves through.
I do not need any toolbar.?
I do need to be able to set a parameter to
allow specifying ( before drawing starts )
? - of the line thickness
? ? ? ? ( all lines in a drawing will be drawn
? ? ? ? ? at the same thinkness - by default 1 pixel ) ,
? - the line color ( default = black )
I need to be able to clear the drawing
I need to have a method for javascript to to read
the data at any time - getting the number of distinct
shapes/ curves that have been drawn, and the number and
coordinates of points defining each shape.?
CLARIFICATION:
What I need is that when user touches the stylus? to the screen you capture that as the first point? in a new shape, then capture the x/y locations of? other points as the user moves the stylus, until? he lifts the stylus. ? When the stylus is lifted then? this is the last point in that shape. ? Keep track? of the points in the shapes in an array or structure
of some sort - in fact you can just build this as a? long string of data since in the end when user is done? and some button is hit in the web page the result I ? want is a string containing this data to be sent back? to the server. ? I also need a way to clear the drawing? area by some Javascript method call.?
