I need a script the will make an HTTP call to the Blinkx API using the URL guidelines in thier API docs, and handles the XML response and grabs certain elements for placement in my HTML page.
PHP or AJAX are acceptable solutions, but it must work for Internet Explorer, FireFox and Safari.
Here is the Blinkx API document:

## Deliverables
The search terms will have multiple words and may even have irregular characters.
Ideally the PHP script would query the YouTube API and if there are no results, then query the Blinkx API.
Phrase Match - You Tube, if no result then
Broad Match - youTube, if no result then
Phrase Match - Blinkx, if no result then
Broad Match - Blinkx, if no result then
BlinkX - default keyword ("puppy" for now :-)
If this isn't possible, or makes the script too slow, then I'd consider using just one of the API's. I'd like some feedback on this.
The returned static image and play size should be Standard YouTube Size of 425 x 355 pixel size.
The search result will be used in an iFrame or Table as part of an entire web page.
One search result is all that's needed.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Ken
