565438 Desktop client server sales monitoring system

I need a client & server prototype for our futuring product. So here we go with our requirments. Agenda:- 1) Prototype must be client & server technology 2) Purely desktop programing (client) 3) Use only open source technology [Java preferable] Description:- Basically we are focusing on monitering system of our sales. so we have a method like getStatus () - get status of the item like sold quantity, remamining quantity. getStock () - get only the stock available of the current item. getTotalStock() - get all the items avilable in our warehourse. getMaxSaleofItems() - to get the max sale of the item from all the items. getMinSaleofItems() - to display only the minimun sale of the item from all the items. Main** : we need a call back method for login idle time out, For ex: generally when the client trigger any action to the server. we will check the idle time and display the message like web app "your session has been closed" . But we need to show the popup after the specific idle time mentioned in the server [login to view URL] this will automatically popup to the client desktop and force them to re login.
