I have two of many contribs installed on my OScommerce store. They are called Option Type Feature and Options as Images. I'll explain how they work, then i'll explain what i use my store to sell, and then i'll explain what i'm trying to achieve(i'm a bit wordy but want to make it easy for everyone viewing this) Option type Feature - Allows a customer to enter custom text for a product, this is maintained on the admin side as an attribute Options as Images - Allows you to use actual images of products and select them via radio buttons, rather then selecting products options through a text based dropdown list My store aims to sell Custom Clothing and gifts for people. I used to work for a company that did this as well and they have this nifty textcounter as one of thier attributes, I know i'm halway there with the Option typefeature installed. I have part of the code, I've not recieved a return call about the coding for this mod :( it's java based apprently, btu i don't know how to merge it with the option type feature. I'll post a link below showing exactly how it works. it counts the amount of custom letters one wants, so if the first 12 letters were free, each letter after that is like .50 cents, and it updates the price so the customer does not get the wrong price. I also want to mimic the option where if they select soemthing from a dropdown list it updates the image next to the list with an image of what they selected, OR, just have a dropdown list with small images and the title of that option next to it(if they were swatches of color, it'd have a small red square on one side and "red" next to it) [login to view URL] This is something that OSC ppl have expressed itnerest in and I will be posting an how-to for the rest of them as thank you for all they've done for me.
