DATABASE AND WEBSITE IMPROVEMENTS

MY SITE IS A DATABASE SITE OF ITEMS THAT ARE FOR SALE INSIDE OF A MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE GAME CALLED ULTIMA ONLINE. THIS DATABASE CONTAINS A FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND ITEMS AND HAS VARIOUS SEARCH FUNCTIONS THAT THE USERS PAY TO UTILIZE. I WISH TO INCORPORATE SOME MORE POWERFUL MESSAGE BOARDS AND INCREASE THE EASE OF USE OF THE SEARCH ENGINE. THE SITE IS WRITTEN WITH PHP AND MYSQL ON A WINDOWS PLATFORM. THE SERVER IS A DEDICATED SERVER WITH A VERY RELIABLE HOST. the game the database gets it's data from is called ultima online and you can get more info on it if necessary from [[login to view URL]][1] but i doubt that would be required. the database is written in mysql but i have very little knowledge of it so cannot answer your question about the database structure. you can view the site as it is operational now, [[login to view URL]][2] my requirements for the message boards are that we need to develop a fast and easy way for users to post messages looking to buy or sell items that are in the MMORPG Ultima Online. We may also need to develop a way for users to post auctions for the items for the in game currency. an example of what i would like is visible at [[login to view URL]][3] currently for the searches, we need to add the ability for the users to "remember" searches that they have done before and to give the ability to search the database for numbers, such as "fire resist 15%" OR HIGHER than 15%. currently only the exact term can be searched for. The database and site were written by a friend who can no longer improve the site. We would like to develop a relationship where we could obtain future changes or improvements with the same coder. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
