Peer to peer file sharing

I wish to build a newer and fresh version of the software from the big K, and if you don't know that, ignore this project. Anyway, Kazah is popular but they stink and their software bundle is packed with adware and files that can destroy a PC. I want to build a truly straight forward application (that is even compatible with the big K?) that allows for true peer-to-peer activity without the user having to worry about adware, spyware, scumware, and the like. Basically, I am looking to create a program like the big K, but without the bs. Let's brainstorm...
