Hello, this should be easy money for you if you know your database work. I have a table in a ms-sql database. This table has a column that takes readings with a time stamp called CHECKTIME. I want to create a trigger that will look into the previous entry and check the USERID, CHECKTIME, CHECKTYPE and SN, If the USERID and CHECKTYPE and SN are the same and CHECKTYPE is taken within 1 minute or less, it will not allow it to enter, it can be at the INSERT or after INSERT. The entries will happen at a fast rate, 2-10 seconds apart so your trigger should be ready to handle fast entries without causing issues to database. Check the screenshot to know how the table is structured. It shouldn't take you more than 1hr maximum if you know your SQL.

Hi The only way to stop an insert from a trigger is to do a rollback. This will return an error to the application which called the insert query - can send a customer error. If you try insert directly through an SQL, it will fail with this error message. Is that fine? Writing the trigger wont take much time, but your acceptance for the scenario I mentioned above is the key. Thanks Roni
