MYSQL KILL processes from SHOW PROCESS LIST using php script

hi i was trying to make a php script to run from a domain to clear out all processes which have high time.
to see the processes in mysql phpmyadmin i use SHOW PROCESS LIST and KILL them from there.
however i want to do this using a php script in the browser if possible.
i tried $result = mysql_query("SHOW FULL PROCESSLIST");
while ($row=mysql_fetch_array($result)){
$process_id=$row["Id"];
if ($row["Time"] > 10 ) {
$sql="KILL $process_id";
mysql_query($sql);
}
}
but this seems to not work or incomplete
i need help urgently to make this into a proper php script to do the job
it doesnt have any db informnation there or doesnt call [login to view URL] is this the problem?
