Platforms Portfolio Site

About the Company: Platforms Sonic Platforms designs & builds immersive audiovisual experiences for public engagement and collaborative creation. To enhance communication and spatial experience, we integrate art and technology in the design of built, mobile, and virtual environments. We craft narratives with artists and brands from concept to fabrication for exhibitions, events, and campaigns. Our work merges original audio+video content with real and virtual production design. Current Website & Goals The Platforms website is a portfolio website representing the work of Sonic Platforms. Sonic Platforms’ current website is hosted by / uses a Squarespace template for portfolio content. The current site does not organize projects by type of media or classification, which will be a feature of the new website. We would like the new website to be hosted on Github. The design, copy, and content for the new website is largely complete (includes image, links to videos, etc). Future changes to the content of the site are not anticipated. The website must be responsive and mobile-friendly. Design We would like to use the Isotope library from Javascript for sorting and filtering the project types ( [login to view URL] ), which are interacted with using project “category” descriptors. We are most interested in using the Masonry layout within Isotope to achieve the design of the home page. The “project category” links filter the projects and animate the thumbnails. Please see attached for a preliminary mockup. Should a different library, plugin, or feature-set provide better results for the animation and functionality of the website we would be interested to hear your thoughts. The development for the website has been started minimally but needs an expert developer to be fully fleshed out. Some CSS styles and specifications can be copied from the current layout.
