Full stack Wordpress/WooCommerce developer permanent part time role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable developer, webmaster, and IT specialist to perform an initial 80 hours work full time (2 weeks) to make upgrades to our WooCommerce based appliance rental website, with an ongoing permanent retainer for 8 hours of work per week paid at 5 USD per hour. At the retainer stage you will be expected to respond to emergency issues quickly, but otherwise the rest of your time will be spent on ongoing development. Additional hours may be requested for future upgrades, and to fit in with your commitments. We want someone who will look after us, and we will look after you in turn. Someone who is an expert at our website and understands it fully. This is a position where you can largely work at your leisure in a relaxed environment. It is essential that you have an excellent understanding of WooCommerce and Wordpress including a capability: • To customise plugins • To build plugins • to test your work and ensure it is bug free - excellent attention to detail. • To respond relatively quickly to urgent IT issues – be a pretty plugged in person. • Maintain website and server security • Maintain appropriate logs with all code changes contained within • Keep appropriate records • Show initiative and make recommendations for changes that would be of benefit • to know your own limits, source and project manage a contractor when you do not have the required knowledge to complete a task • to work alone. • To provide general IT support to staff in Australia and remote workers in the Philippines and abroad.
