I have been attempting to create an automated lost and found search system using cognito forms, zapier and google sheets. When a form is submitted, zapier creates a new row in the inquiries worksheet. I have been able to create formulas that use the input information to search the second worksheet event data for matching data but using an ARRAYFORMULA doesn't perform with 100% accuracy. I have used CountIFs to indicate that submitted data cells have a matching counterpart in the database, but I don't think these would be horizontally linked. Despite the unlikely event that multiple pieces of information would occur, perhaps a script or additional arguments would work. When searching for matching date of birth, some times the result is a completely different number.
Here are the most successful formulas I have tried:
=arrayformula(IF(A2:A<>"",IF(C2=Index(INDIRECT(A2:A&"!B2:B"),Match(C2,INDIRECT(A2:A&"!B2:B"),0),1),"First Name Found","First Name not yet Found"),""))
=arrayformula(IF(A2:A<>"",CountIFS(L2,"First Name Found",M2,"Last Name Found",N2, "DOB Found")))

Thanks so much for any solution or guidance!
Hello , I would like to work on your project. I have great experience using excel and macros / vba, google spreadsheets and google spreadsheet scripts. In my opinion to solve required task using formulas is complicated, more easy and straightforward method it would be writing a script to checking matches and writing results (true / false) in the right column. If you are open to use script for this task, please consider my bid. Thank you. Regards

Hi, maybe can help.
When you have dynamically inserted records, better use script for data processing and finding matching info from event data sheet, as using formula won't do this in automatically.

I have excellent command on Google Sheets. I have completed complex projects before involving Macros, formulas, etc.

I saw the sheets you shared. It can be done by script as well as formula. I can do it in both ways as I have experience of writing gscript for spreadsheet and complex formula as well.
As far as Google SHeets concerned I believe we can work this out.
Although, I should say that the description of the task is a bit confusing. To me it looks like a VLOOKUP should be able to do the job, but seeing the formulas you used, makes me think that perhaps I miss something.
However, as I said, I'm sure if it is at all possible, I can help you make it work.
Best regards,
Denis
