Dialogue is definitely one of my strengths in screenwriting, and if you wish, I'd be happy to provide a spec sample of up to 5 pages if you would kindly send me some qualifying parameters. I most often do scripts using Final Draft, but if you prefer another software, I'm game! I can also submit the spec script in Rich Text format of Word. Your variety of projects described on your Facebook page is diverse and exciting. I lived in Phoenix for 14 years, but have been in California since 2006. I'm in Palm Springs right now, so within pretty easy travel distance of Phoenix should you need to do any in person brainstorming or other type of production meetings. Hi, my name is Thomas, and I'm great in dialogue as evident in my previous employer's review. He wanted sharp and witty dialogue because the story was heavy in dialogue. I helped him achieve what he wanted, the same way I can help you with your short film. With your story, once we establish the characters and their goals, dialogue will automatically flow. This process of establishing characters will consist of the first phase in executing this task, while the screenplay should fall right into place in the second phase after we've established these foundations. Since the plot is already developed, it will make the scene breakdown easier in seeing how each character plays out. I charge 50% advance upon hiring and the other half upon completion of the work. I have been a creative writer for over a decade now. People who have read my works often say that my writing has a lot of images in it. In other words one can actually make a mental picture of the scene being actually enacted while reading my short stories, novels and even poetry. The sounds like the trot of a horse or the trill of the birds on trees can be easily visualized. The reading gets to the senses and everything becomes quite picturesque, very vivid. Honestly I have never done dialogue writing professionally, but I have put a lot of dialogues in my novels and short stories and I must say that I enjoy it very much and am very adept at it. Dialogue writing comes naturally to me and I guess the script should have immense clarity. The setting, the expressions on the faces of the characters,etc are pivotal for the director of the film to bring out the heart of the story. Perhaps it all begins with the script writer, the dialogue writer, the way he describes each character, each scene, the ambiance, etc. My style of writing perfectly suits this project and can go a long way in bringing out the heart of the script. I have been a creative writer for years now, and I have some experience writing scripts. I understand the need for good dialogue in a short film, and would be happy to work as closely as you would like to produce work that is satisfying to both of us. Preferably, each scene would be plotted and discussed before I got down to writing the dialogue to get us through it. The most important part of dialogues are the characters--the more vivid they are the easier it is to get them to speak. Once those are agreed upon, I'll begin writing as soon as I can. I am a writer who takes joy in story telling. I don't just tell stories, I form an imaginary image of the scene while telling the story, naughty imagination that seems out of place and will make viewer try out some of the acts performed in the story. As a creative writer I look for a story that I would like to see, to be moved and to feel the emotion that film and literature can provide. To be deeply moved by a creative work is one of the simplest and most genuine type of emotions to feel, understanding what the creator of the work was feeling as they underwent making the production or piece. My creativity comes out in many forms: ceramic, woodworking, and writing as well. I give great time and effort into my writing and would greatly enjoy being a part of a strong team, to aid in the design and constructive collaboration regarding the project.
