I would enjoy working with you on this project. I have pasted an article below for your perusal:
The lady behind the desktop register said $20.98. It was a Thursday morning around 10:00am when I walked out of the Goodwill Emporium having purchased a Danny & Nicole spring dress, a Plaza South summer dress, grey Liz Claiborne slacks, white Liz & Co. pants, and a silky grey blouse by Quo. Sweeet!
Yes, thrift stores have opened my eyes and saved my pocket change on designer labels. And yes it is a second-hand purchase, but it has been cleaned mended and looks very very close to new.
The old embarrassment of shopping in thrift stores such as these have vanished. I proudly walk into either store without caring who may see me. How can you be ashamed of Industries that assists the homeless in providing meals, drug addicts, alcoholics, the elderly and rehabilitation centers. Goodwill provides work opportunities and jobs. Empowering and changing lives for the good.
After all we have donated clothing, furniture and other items to industries like Goodwill and Salvation thinking of tax breaks and clearing out our garage, closets, basements, etc. We the public still donate, but we can also turn around and walk into the store section and purchase.
Okay, listen I just mentioned clothing, but you know by now that household items, toys, jewelry, men's clothing are in reasonable, in good shape and they'll also make wonderful gifts. Truly! Of course, the jury is out on electronics, because you can't plug them in and test them, but I am sure that you can make a return if you cry and plead pitifully.
Here I am again, as the register rang up $8.25 as she placed black Ralph Lauren and Larry Levine slacks and a Rafaella Woman blouse in the bag. Just remember one person's junk is another person's treasure and your little treasure is in there somewhere! So, come on, let's go thrift shopping and yes, please donate those Vera Wang's, Lagerfelds, Dolce & Gabbanas or Yves Saint Laurant, I'll be waiting for them. See you soon! Sweeet
