Job description: Write a java(8) class which by extending [login to view URL] and implementing [login to view URL] creates a Apache Hadoop HIVE UDF which, when used takes in a HIVE table column, then returns the MAX string value of that column as a result. Example of such an implementation for integers: [login to view URL] I assume [login to view URL] Class StringValueMax might be of use? I can share the skeleton code if you want.
