I need a macro to run to automatically run a hotkey (ALT+L) on a particular software that has been inactive for 15 minutes or more. I think this should be a possibility but have no experience using the software, therefore I need an expert to help me set it up properly. I can provide the name of the application when somebody is ready to help me with this. The application may or may not be in the foreground, and hopefully it will still be possible. It may also or not be the active program. But the application will need to be launched and a running process for the macro to run.
Please provide me with the exact details so that i know if what i am doing for you is possible within the stipulated time period i have mention in the bid.

I am assuming that you are looking for a Autohot key script that will be sending {ALT+L} key stroke, if a particular software is running in foreground or background and your system has been inactive for 15 minutes.
You need this script to Activate your Software and send key strokes to it.

- you need a macro or you need a macro that executes a macro??
are you sure you just wanna the application be actived every 15 minutes? seems I can do your work. I write an ahk script some days ago, I am familiar with ahk.
The AutoHotkey script required for your project, can probably use code that I already have written for my own personal scripts. These scripts work with active and non-active windows and also have a built-in timer.
A soon as you approve my bid and more details are available, I can start with coding. I should be able to deliver it within three days.

I am working as C# developer, but at home I am doing some program. Nowadays I made a program, that can control a VLC player overt TCP with hotkeys. And made a C# program that is similar than logmein (only printscreen per 2 second and key send).
Which program should be check if inactive?
What do you think which case the program is inactive?

Questions:
1. The application which will be monitored for inactivity and Alt+L will be fired on?
2. with inactivity u mean no mouse-over over that application or being in background for too long or some other specific property change related to that app?
