Korean Writer and Translator

We’re looking for an expert finance and technology writer and translator to join our ranks. As one of the world's fastest growing comparison sites, we need writers with the ability to write objective, concise copy to enable our users to make a better informed decision about products. The writer must be based in South Korea (or have had lived there for an extended period of time) and have a strong understanding of the Hong Kong personal finance space i.e. credit cards, insurance, loans and bank accounts. We are a leading comparison website. We have an exciting opportunity for an associate editor to join our creative and dedicated team. Reporting to our Publishing and Editorial Program Manager based in Sydney, you will be responsible for: * Subediting copy relevant for a South Korean audience * Localising copy relevant for a South Korean audience * Translating copy to Korean * Editing copy in Wordpress * Fact-checking * Rewriting as required * Coming up with stellar headlines and captions Mandatory requirements: * Currently residing in South Korea * Excellent communication skills * Able to work with Wordpress The person we are looking for will ideally have: * Immediate availabilities * Available for up to 38 hours per week * One to two years' writing or subbing experience * Experience in online content * A solid understanding of grammar and a love of the written word * A genuine passion for financial and lifestyle content will be highly regarded * Work well under pressure * Adhering to tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive and friendly environment, with opportunities for learning and development to grow your career with us.
