admin panel for community site

I got somebody to create a social networking site. The site has the following functions: Profile creation Profile search Establish friendship relations Create groups Search for groups Discussion board Create events Search for event The functions are fine. But I only have a limited administration panel. I am not able to analyse user statistics for example. Now, I am not able to ask you to bid for that work because I do not know what to ask for exactly. So first I want you to bid on the advising me what functions I should have in a good administration panel and what the different options are. And once I know I am looking for one. If the person has experience operating a social networking site, I would also like to get some other consulting. So again first the project is for consultation only. And by somebody who knows what he is talking about. Important: I want somebody with experience in similar admin panel.
