Creation of Vectorworks 2012 Plug In Symbols

We are an events company looking to have some simple symbols made into Vectorworks plug in objects with record information. We already have the symbols created to give you an idea of what the finished result should be like. All symbols are only used in 2d plans at this stage however upgrading to 3d in future may be required. Plug in #1: Marquee This is a variable size rectangle to represent a tent or marquee structure. It has a solid fill with an identifier label such as Bar, Catering on top and the size of the marquee in meters. Insertion of the marquee should bring us a dialog box requesting size and name and double clicking on the marquee should bring up the same box. Required parameters 1. Radio Button Marquee (rectangle) or Pagoda (square) (note the marquee and pagoda have different lines on top to easily identify them. 2. Width in meters 3. Length in meters 4. Structure Name Default Layer = Current Layer Default Class = Event - Site Infrastructure The text identifiers should size the font to fit the size of the structure. The parameters should also appear as object records. Plug in #2: Demountable building Again a variable size rectangle this is with walls, doors, windows and air conditioners. There are a number of standard configurations dependent on the size of the building so the options should be user selectable through a dialog box which is also available by double clicking on the object. We will go into more detail with the successful candidate however an example is a building might measure 3 x 6m, have the door on the right hand side and the air conditioner on the left. These options will dictate the window positions automatically. In addition to a label with the building name a smaller size identifier should appear in the bottom right of the building with the size indicated (w x l). Required Parameters 1. Width (there are a set number of width options being 2.4m, 3m, 6m, 12m) 2. Length (there are a set number of length options being 2.4m, 3m, 4.8m, 6m, 7.2m, 8.4m 9m, 12m) 3. Single or Split, often a dividing wall is placed within the shed and the split options should be 70/30, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 70/30. When the split option is chosen door position and Air Conditioner position should both default to "both" 3. Door position (either left, right, both) these are taken when looking towards the front of the building 4. Air Conditioner position (either left, right or both) again taken from the front of the building the default for up to 6m in length is opposite to the door position, over 6m in length it should default to both. 5. Building Name is the name of the shed, for a single it should appear in the middle of the shed and for a split it should appear in the middle of the division. In the object record a split shed should appear with both names and / separating them.
