I have a phpFox sociel networking website with 15,000 members. The site is located on two VPS's: 1st VPS: All php scripts, images, html files 2nd MySQL database This arragement was done to allocate more processing power as the site was running slow. Now after hitting the 15,000 mark, the site is slow again and probably needs to be: 1) optimized or 2) load balanced on a 3rd VPS or 3) cached or 4) all of the above If you bid on this project, it means that you are going to effectively increase the speed of the website by at least 3x . We can time a certain page load time before you start working, and then time it again after the work is done to find out whether the speed has improved. I have social networking script simuliar to phpfox.. What i want to do is rework the profile pages of our members. The member's profile pages are currently created in .php .. I would like to recreate members profile pages to be .html search engine friendly. also everything scripted into the profile area works as a single unit ie: if someone is on someone else's profile page and want to chat with that individual, the entire site can see what was written to that member. The problem I face is that integrating different scripts together under one design has become and expensive pain. With the current site (phpfox) I dont like the forum, classified and chat applications within it. My site needs to be fixed, in the profile section, when the users are asked to enter their location, usa/canada/england, etc etc, they are not given any choices. When I manually enter countries thru the admin section, they do not stay in the database. Also the same thing for occupation.
