In this fun little project, a client requested a "hack" to a Mega-based MKS Gen V1.4 board. This closed-source board is designed to fit into 3D printers, but we had a different purpose in mind. It now communicates via bluetooth to a phone app, and the app controls up to 5 stepper motors through Pololus mounted to the MKS board. Much more can be done to this handy little board, and it was a blast to work on.

Sheet Metal is useful when the project requires minimal cost and experiences minimal forces. This example is a protective shroud for wall-mounted electronics. It displays different types of air vents which promote air circulation and cool the internal components.
