Legal agreement for an outsourced R&D project

I explained him the relationship between the parties in the agreement and all I got is a funny template with few sentences related to relationship. I was very disappointed with his work and attitude. He insisted of of getting the whole milestone even though he didn't complete it, and that I wasn't happy about it. Amateur freelancer. Don't waste your time!
