Have lived in Alaska all of my life. I am 58 years old and have been a salesman for at least 40 years of my life. I found that I was good at striking people on their emotional side with my ads that I had created in the past, so I decided I would give copy writing a try. y first sales job was for myself when I was 12 years old in Seward Alaska. i would catch fish called herring in the harbor and haul them home on my bicycle and put them in Ziploc bags and freeze them. When people would come to fish in the salmon derby I would put all my herring in a cooler and take them back to the docks and sell them to the sports fishermen. I made good money for a twelve year old. My next self motivated job was to cut wood and split it, put it in a wheel barrow and haul it down to the campground and sell it to the campers. I have sold cars, HVAC products, food stuffs, and diesel generators and now have my own corner office. The market I am in is narrow, but I do well.
