Automated Student Attendance Monitoring System Using Face Recognition

The proposed method uses the HOG as features extractor, CNN as face encoding, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) as a classifier. The proposed system recognizes the face in real-time using a webcam and generates attendance reports automatically without any human intervention. Our face recognition method accomplished 99.5% accuracy on the Labeled Faces in the Wild (LFW) database and 97.83% accuracy in real-time inside the classroom for the case of attendance monitoring.

BENGALI INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM (BIRS)

We used two algorithms for finding out the lemmatization of Bengali words such as Trie and Dictionary Based Search by Removing Affix as well as compared with Edit Distance for the exact lemmatization. We have presented the Bengali Anaphora resolution system using the Hobbs’ algorithm and TF-IDF and Cosine Similarity are developed to find out the accurate answer from the documents. We have also developed Bengali root word, synonym word and stop word corpus and got 97.22% accurate answer.
