Research Projects: Systems Call based Anomaly Intrusion Detection System Implemented a host based IDS similar to Dyck model in which null system calls were placed before and after the system calls to make a call graph and detect possible Intrusions. System was implemented by modifying Linux kernel (2.4.18) and adding a kernel system call in C language. It was part of the thesis of a Masters Student at GIK Institute. Video Tracking System System is capable of tracking targets from a video stream in real time. The system consists of a camera mounted on a platform having 2 degrees of freedom which tracks a moving object. The input stream coming from the camera is analyzed and future position of the object is predicted. The computer in response changes the direction of the camera so as to keep the object in the centre of the camera’s field of view. The camera and the object movement are simulated in C++, Matlab and OpenGL libraries. Programming Projects: ? Character recognition using a Back-Propagation Artificial Neural Network. Developed in Matlab as a course project for “Artificial Neural Networks†? Assembler and Simulator for a 16-bit microcomputer (Mano Machine). Developed in Java as a course project for “Computer Architecture†course ? Implementation of Cannon’s Algorithm and Fox’s Algorithm (Parallel Matrix multiplication algorithms) in MPI in “Parallel Processing†course ? A 2D arcade game with animations and sounds. Designed in UML using Rational Rose and developed in Visual C++ using DirectX 7.0 as a course project for “Object Oriented Programming†course ? Developed a system for capturing data from the Centrifugal particle analyzer machine and exporting it in the csv file. Professional Skills: ?
