Whilst sitting in property litigation I drafted a memo to a client clarifying the legalities of lease forfeiture. Developed my ability to relay succinct jargon-free legal advice to a client. 'Lease Forfeiture' was a new concept to myself so I used research skills I developed in previous vacation schemes, such as navigating my way through Reuters PLC.

I drafted commercial updates for the litigation department and proofread press releases, this nurtured my attention to detail and commercial awareness. I was particularly drawn to the recent MasterCard class action case. I also conducted document reviews and suggested claims and alternative dispute resolution methods, which improved my ability to form 'legal opinion'.
