Briefly I am a front-end web developer with over 15 years experience .I have worked for various Emap digital productions, a design agency, had experience of freelance work and worked alongside web developers. Most recently I have created design mockups for the sun newspaper online and worked for a marketing company designing email campaigns. As a freelancer I have knowledge of designing a site and constructing it, to uploading it and sorting out the DNS and URL. In my most recent job, I have been focusing on css, as well as creating print artwork, using Indesign and Quark. The agency work involved creating conceptual designs, designing using flash, graphical production and webpage construction. Publishing websites at Emap, covered all aspects of managing an in-house website. This was from creation, for example testing with focus groups, to completion, when the award winning New Woman website was relaunched. I consider myself expert in html and css and always looking to try out new technology. My core skills also include JavaScript, jquery, some php, and familiarity with [login to view URL] when working for Labour when they were implementing a on the fly quark server to create uniform graphics for constituency’s across the UK. I took a year out last year working on stuff like my own website and set up my own web server and was experimenting with apache and trying to sep up my own mail server as well as implanting several CMS systems including Joomla, Sliverstripe and Wordpress. I have contstructed a word press site form scratch following a tutorial. I am very strong in design as that’s my background.
