I have been a professional software developer since 1986 when I left university after studying computer science. Initially I worked on firmware for embedded devices such as telephones and internet routers. I lived and worked in Silicon Valley, California for 4 years working with Nortel Networks and Cisco Systems. I have developed with C# and .NET exclusively since 2002. I now operate as a freelance developer. As a hobby I am an astronomer and have been able to combine that with software development, to produce drivers for astronomical instruments such as telescopes, focusers and cameras.
