I'd like these changes made to the flash module while keeping the ones that I added myself.
To be added/modified:
- Fix & modify scrolling***
o Fix scrolling method I tried (or modify the one you gave me)
o Add ‘bouce' effect to each end
o Initial grid positioning other than ‘0'
- Add ability to define url target in xml (eg. _self, _blank, etc)
- Remove hand cursor when a button has no hover image (just show mouse pointer)
- Add preloader (I'm fine with a preloader for the entire thing as you said “one, on startup, which shows number of images
loaded (2 of 10 images loaded - 20%)”
These are the changes I made that I would like to keep.
- Images fade in on hover
- Added a ‘dek' attribute to the xml in order to make a second text box appear.
- Changed the button mc in flash so the text stays on top of the image when it loads
***Now, the scrolling thing is what I'm having the most difficulty with. I decided a couple things since getting the files from you. 1) I wanted images to be clickable no matter where you were on the stage. So, having the left & right buttons there prevented that. 2) I wanted the mouse to affect movement everywhere on the stage, not just on the left and right sides. 3) I wanted to add a ‘bounce' effect for when a user got to either end of the container_mc. You'll see this working in theory on the left side. If you scroll close to the left edge when launching the movie you'll see the m_container come into the stage a little further and when you move your mouse away from the edge again it goes back. I'd like to have this happen at both ends. The problem is, I don't think I did a good job doing it and I'm sure my logic is completely wrong and overcomplicated. So, if you could fix that, I would be most grateful. I hope the behavior I'm looking for is clear. I expect to have to elaborate on it though, so please ask questions.
Additional to the scrolling, I want to be able to position the m_container to a different x position depending on the xml file. For instance, I will sometimes want a grid to load up offset to the left, say, -190 pixels so the buttons on the left and right look cropped to begin with (see [login to view URL]'s <xpos>). I had some success with this but not much once I started to mess around with the scrolling.
Many thanks!
