You have to make this in .NET Core and not in .NET! Also do not use any third-party libraries except for Microsoft’s own. Especially do not use NotifyIcon! Icon doesn’t matter, pick any random icon image. It can be an empty WPF app, the important part for me is to see your implementation of minimizing to system tray.

Hi, I'm Kareem. I have experience in programming applications using C#, UWP, and WPF. I created a demo WPF (.Net Core) app just now which uses NotifyIcon of Windows Forms namespace. The app is successfully minimizing to the system tray. I used a simple icon for which I placed two menu items on it for open and exit the app. I created the app only with WPF (.Net Core) and Windows Forms namespaces, without using any other third party libraries.
