Plugin Selection and Design of Plugin Interaction for Multi-region Multilanguage Wordpress Website with Amazon Affiliate Store Section
Please note, I am quite experienced in Wordpress theme and plugin installation and configuration. I would not in principle need help installing plugins and configuring them, unless very complex plugins are used which I am not familiar with.
Please note I am not asking for frontend design, such like theme creation, selection or customisation, or visual design.
What I do need help with is with overall WordPress website structure or architecture, plugin selection, and plugin interaction planning to implement the chosen architecture. I need help deciding how to best organise the website and which plugins to use to implement the design. I have not found a simple solution for what I want to build.
If you want to help with implementation, I am open to proposals, but please provide separate quotes for architectural design consulting and for implementation.
If you think plugin customization or creation will be required, please let me know and, if you wish to, quote the plugin customization or creation work separately.
The main quote I expect is for consulting and planning of the website structure and plugins. If you want to quote implementation or plugin customization, please do so as part of your comments.
Here’s the kind of website I am trying to build:
• Website with content about a particular topic (for instance, a particular superfood).
• Multi-language. Initially content will be available in English and Spanish (ENG / ESP). Must be ready to add other languages.
• Automated language selection. The country must be automatically detected, and a default language will be selected to display content.
• Users can change language manually by clicking on the language name (initially ENG or ESP)
• Store section with product selection shown depending on country of visitor:
o USA > products available on [login to view URL]
o UK > products available on [login to view URL]
o Canada > products available on [login to view URL]
o Mexico > products available on [login to view URL]
o Spain > products available on [login to view URL]
• Automated country detection – There must be a plugin to automatically detect region.
• Flag country switcher - The user can change country manually by clicking on flag icon. This may imply emptying the shopping cart, as different products are available in different countries.
• When user goes to checkout, he is automatically taken to the amazon website corresponding to the country selected. The products in the website’s store shopping cart will appear as ready to add to the Amazon shopping cart. This can be achieved with WooZone.

The country selection determines the products shown. USA > USA products, UK > UK products.
The language selection determines the display language for contents (Blog posts, menus, articles, etc).
Whenever the amazon for the selected country displays product info in the selected language it would be great to show product info in the selected language.

• WooZone – Amazon affiliate plugin automating product importation and checkout to right amazon store.

Wordpress Multi-Site Option
One possibility I am considering is the Wordpress multisite, with one separate site for each country. This seems like a clean solution. However, it has the drawback of having to duplicate and maintain same-language content across different sites. It also forces me to have to repeat a lot of work for plugin configuration in different sites.
I would like to explore alternatives to this solution.
