I’m looking for a web designer to create a website for my independent documentary film call “Can You Hear My Voice?” The film has been accepted to the Nashville Film Festival and a few others thus far. I’ve purchased a WordPress theme and hosting. This is my first film since having my voice box removed in 2016 due to long-term damage from radiation treatments I underwent 22 years ago. The film was born of my personal experience but it’s not about me. “Can You Hear My Voice?” chronicles the one-of-a-kind Shout at Cancer choir in London, whose members have all had their voice boxes removed, as they prepare for the most ambitious concert they’ve ever performed - a sold-out performance at London’s historic Tabernacle theater. The film includes songs popularized by Nina Simone, Tears for Fears, and Louis Armstrong. The film is about so much more than music. Interspersed with the concert preparations are the personal accounts of three members of the Shout at Cancer choir. Their stories reveal themes of self-identity, mortality, adversity, disability, resilience, and courage.
