Download iTunes and Google Play app binaries

Goal: Download the binary files for the top 500 free apps on iTunes and Google Play, and provide them in an unencrypted format. Deadline: 1 week from project start Details: We're a company that helps businesses understand apps and app markets. We've developed the ability to extract some information that's useful to our customers from app binary files. Now we need a source of binaries to test with. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to download the binaries for the top 500 free apps on iTunes and Google Play (we'll provide you a list). The binaries should be unencrypted, so we can easily analyze them. You will upload the files via ssh to a server we'll provide. We'll provide you the app ids as follows: iTunes (link to apps like this - [login to view URL]): 389801252 Google Play (link to apps like this - [login to view URL]): [login to view URL] You should provide us the unencrypted binary files named with the app ids (so we can easily match them up with the corresponding app). So, for example, for the above two apps, you would upload the following files: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] You also need to provide a clear description of the steps you used to download the binaries (and unencrypt as necessary), such that we can verify and replicate it ourselves. Future work: If you accomplish this project in the time given and with high quality, there will very likely be additional phases of the project to download the binaries for a much larger section of the store, and to download binaries for new apps on an ongoing basis.
