Hi First of all, scraping the site is a piece of cake & so does parsing. But realtime price update is just not possible. There'll always be a lag no matter what. With that being said the lagging can be optimised, depending on the architecture. BTW I've couple of questions 1. Price is not the only thing that will change overtime, there'll be rating counts, rating participants. Do you need these attributes to be updated along? 2. What about scraping for new products? Here's the tech stack that I'll be using. 1. Crawling with curl lib to make it behave as a real browser in order to reduce the chances of being blocked by amazon. It'll be a distributed architecture in order to make it keep on crawling even if blocked. 2. Parsing with regex, using AWS serverless architecture. 3. MongoDB as the persistent datastore. 4. Redis to set the state of each & every URL. I'll be using Python2.7 (with TDD) built on top of Docker, all hosted in AWS. Thanks Joy
