Experienced FCPX (Final Cut) Wedding Video Editor Wanted

We are an Australian based wedding videography business looking to expand our team and establish a long-term working relationship with an experienced, professional wedding video editor. We book on average 80+ weddings per year so there’s plenty of work for the right person. You must: Work in Final Cut, no exceptions (if your preference is Adobe Premiere, please don’t contact us as we want a Final Cut professional only) Understand how to colour grade properly Be familiar with FilmConvert (plugin) or be willing to learn it Be able to match our style and follow our lead Be able to finish wedding films from start to finish with very little to no input from us because you’re able to edit to our high standards (this is what we’re paying you for) Have exceptional attention to detail Be reliable, honest and punctual Not be trying to finish as many edits as fast as you can to rake in as much cash as possible (this is where mistakes happen), but rather, be willing to put in the effort required to finish our films to a very high level, maintaining a strong working relationship with us which will see us sending you plenty of work for years to come (equivalent to a part time job or even more as we continue to grow) Not be looking for a mentor, but rather, you’re already highly talented and qualified for this role Speak English as a first language or equivalent level Provide us with a link to your wedding film portfolio Have the ability to download large amounts of data at top speeds in case we can’t post hard drives back and forth We will provide you with: A contract to sign before we work together Licensed music for each film A small project brief for each film Payment for every film you’ve edited once it’s completed You’ll be working closely with our head editor for your first few edits. The goal is for you to be able to edit the films yourself, start to finish, with very little to no input from us moving forward. We want to be receiving a finished product from you each and every time, and in return, you’ll receive a lot of work from us and you’ll be paid well.
