Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference 2018, Philippines

officially launched in APRRC 2017 Phuket, Thailand

The Philippine Host Organizing Committee has officially launched its chairmanship of 15th Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) at the closing ceremony of the 14th APRRC in Phuket, Thailand last May 28, 2017.

The launching was led by 2018 APRRC Chairman, PDRR Alexiz Tan. It was attended by delegates and leaders from Asia Pacific region, members

of the host committee, steering committee led by PDG Edmond Aguilar respectively.

Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference started in 2014 in Hong Kong is an annual conference hosted by a country within the region. It is a large-scale Rotaract event being organized every year that engages Rotaractors from the region. APRRC serves as a forum for Rotaract leaders to meet, learn in an environment framed by the ideals of Rotary & Rotaract service and progress.

As the Philippines takes the helm of the APRRC Chairmanship in 2018 this will be a grand year as APRRC will mark and celebrate its 15th Anniversary which also coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Rotaract in the Philippines and the kick off celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Rotary in the Philippines and in Asia.

The APRRC 2018 host committee has partnered with Philippine Government's Department of Tourism through Tourism Promotions Board for cooperation and to create a memorable event for the delegates.

The conference will take place in Philippine Sofitel Plaza Manila on July 19-22, 2018.

Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila joins the 14th Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference in Phuket, Thailand.

May 25-28, 2017. Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila 馬尼拉華人區扶輪青年服務團 from Rotary International District 3810 participated in the 14th Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) held in Hilton Hotel, Phuket, Thailand. There are 14 members from the club enjoy the various activities of the conference, meeting other Clubs and establishing cooperation for future projects. The event is one of the best opportunity to meet new friends. Workshops and Volunteer activities are one of the many activities of the event and learning the Culture of Thailand.

The conference was graced by both Thai Royal family Representatives, Government officials and Rotary leaders.

Club President 團長 Raquelize Orillaza 蔡麗絲小姐(Ms.) lead the Club delegation to 14th APRRC in Phuket, Thailand. Also joining us are Past District Governor Edmond Aguilar 吳祥平先生 of 馬尼拉中國城扶輪社 Rotary Club of Chinatown-Manila, the mother organization of Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila and Past DRR Alexiz Tan the club charter president of Rotaract Club of Chinatown-Manila who also serve as one of the resource speaker in the conference workshop and the incoming Chairman of APRRC 2018, Philippines.

The Club also attended the conference to help promote the APRRC that will be held in Manila, Philippines on July 2018.

The Club represented by President 團長 Raquelize Orillaza 蔡麗絲小姐(Ms.) and incoming President Jeffrey Lock 駱孫良先生 (Mr.) also signed a friendship agreement and cooperation with Rotaract Club of Yogyakarta, Indonesia represented by PDRR Lukkie Putranto (Mr.) and while renew its friendship cooperation with Rotaract Club of Penang, Malaysia led by Past President 卸任團長 Sye Li 黄雪荔小姐 (Ms.) and Past President 卸任團長Shea Speare 曾莎士比亚先生 (Mr.).

Past Presidents Althea Chong 莊麗琴 (Ms.) and Josephine Bino 林月美小姐(Ms.) joined the delegation with the following members: Alexander Te 傅振宇先生 (Mr.), David Lee (Mr.) , Dexter Chan 曾志敏先生 (Mr.), Jackson Tai (Mr), Jervin Go, 王勢全先生 (Mr.) Mary Grace Khu 王育心小姐(Ms.) , Mikee Lee 李永發先生 (Mr.) , Pingel Tamayo 許璇瑩小姐(Ms.), Stephen Orillaza (Mr). respectively.
