Children's ebook A series of 6 books needs to be translated from English to Spanish. We wish the phrases to be understood by the majority of people not just a highly educated minority ( you are the expert.. We will respect your experience in this area. ) We realise that literal word for word translations are challenging and at times almost impossible as structure and equivalent words may not exist. With this in mind.... We wish this to be done as effectively and closely as possible to the text. But the overriding goal is to capture the joy and fun of the story. It is essential that the Reader engage with the character and identify with their adventures. The goal of this series of book is not only to entertain and delight but also educate (children 2 years to 8). We also feel that this already successful series can be a valuable tool in helping young ones and others learn English should that be their desire. Thank you for your consideration of this project. We look forward to working along with those who can share our vision Each book is relatively short... So this should not be a large or complicated task. If this is successful the goal is to expand this to more books. book 1 - 700 words (Approx) book 2 - 460 words book 3 - 420 words book 4 - 400 words book 5 - 450 words book 6 - 450 words We are looking for an accurate translation that is EASY to read for young children… as well as parents or educators. This will ideally be a book parent’s read to their children and later be one of the first books these children read for themselves. It does not need to be a word for word, literal translation – rather the desire is to capture the scene and delight the imagination, entertain and educate the reader. The Translation Text needs to stand on it’s own merits in capturing the reader’s attention. The English text will be included on the same page. To enable the reader to begin exploring the English language from a basis of knowing the story should they desire to do so. It is envisaged that the text packages will be available to translate in 2 weeks... They will be in the Microsoft word docx format We would expect the this project will require only small time frame to complete. Best Regards
