I need a diaphragm for a low pressure switch. The diaphragm must be electrically conductive, between 5-10mm diameter, which deflects/distorts when subject to an air pressure of 1kPa. Please see attached sketch. The degree of distortion is not particularly important as the distance between the contact and the diaphragm is adjustable. The diaphragm must be able to withstand pressures of 10kPa without breaking. It will be used at room temperature and will only be exposed to normal air. It will be a differential pressure switch. The diaphragm must be quick to respond (<0.5s) to both an increase of pressure >1kPa and a drop <1kPa. I have already experimented with some conductive silicone but it was too slow to respond and unpredictable. I think a metal diaphragm would be better. Hopefully you will be able to manufacture the diaphragm, but if not I will need to be able to take the design to a manufacturer for production.

Hi, I am a mechanical engineer with a dedicated team of mechanical, electronics hardware and software engineers with 9 international papers and 5 patents. We specialize in custom industrial and commercial machine/product design, development & fabrication. We do design using tools like Autodesk Inventor, Eagle, etc and simulations of design using various softwares like Ansys Fluent, explicit dynamics, Matlab, Simulink, EES, Pspice, etc. In past we have designed complete products like variable stability aircraft (changes its geometry while flying- having more than 800 custom designed parts), glider based payload delivery system/mechanism, desktop coffee roasting machine, gun recoil simulation mechanism, etc to name a few with microcontroller based sensors and controllers. We also have inhouse prototyping and manufacturing facility including 3D printing i.e. SLA and SLS in 3 different polymers, vacuum casting for a range of polymers and aluminum, CNC milling and turning, etc. PCB printing, hardware assembly, product integration & testing is also available. Kindly provide some details about the project to estimate the exact amount of effort required and bid more [login to view URL] you have any queries do let me know. Best regards Anuj Garg
