Project Outline Specify and design server hardware and network architecture for web-based company Create builds for Win2k3 Document findings and build process Create web-based scripts for administration and reporting Experience Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows 2000/2003, IIS, MS-SQL 2000/2005, vbscript, networking, security, packet sniffing and Compaq/HP/IBM servers. Familiar with ASP.NET, C# or other programming languages a plus. Preferred candidate will have 3+ years in web/internet industry. Windows 2000/2003 Experience in designing 99.999999% uptime environments Experience in creating self-install images Experience with deep registry hacks to tune and lock-down server for web services Deep understanding of file security and event log codes Familiar with Microsoft undocumented tweaks Familiar with Windows 2000/2003 kernel model IIS Secure and create scripts necessary for reporting and administration Tweak and optimize for ASP.NET MS-SQL Experience in optimizing 300GB+ databases Experience in clustering and high-transaction environments Familiar with RDBMS theory Vbscript Experience wilth vbscript to manipulate files, registry and win components Networking, Packet Sniffing and Security Experience with Network Monitor or Data General’s Sniffer Experience in hacking and exploits – DOS attacks etc Deep knowledge of the TCP/IP stack including TCP handshakes, MTU sizing and other flags Understanding of the 7 network layers Understanding of routing protocols, RIP, BGP4 etc Experience with Cisco routers a plus Compaq/HP Servers Experience with the DL and BL line of servers Familiar with optimized hardware setup specific to Compaq/HP servers Experience with Smart and Lights-Out Experience with Compaq/HP server deployment in data center environments
