Surface Roughness assessment using computer vision - 23515

A written piece is required(60 pages) include: Literature review on Surface roughness assessment. (written, needs editing) Main body is an investigation into various machine vision strategies to improve their performance, repeatability and reliability. Work should concentrate mainly on texture parameters derived from magnified images of the surface topography under fixed illumination conditions(will be provided). Results will be compared to conventional stylus and whole-field methods. Methods in comparison are: Local binary pattern LBP, and Gray Level Co-occurence Matrix GLCM. Practical work will be provided, analysis and write up required.
