SQL Server Express Install/Setup for C# app

1. Overview This project will be to develop a C#/.NET module that will install a named instance of SQL Server Express 2008 on a target machine (Both XP and Vista). The installation routine will enable remote connections from either a XP or Vista computer on the same home/workgroup network. This is a key element. Many installations have issues with remote connections. Remote connections by default are turned off. Please review those requirements thoroughly and make sure you understand the issue prior to bidding. 2. Part A. C# module that installs SQL Server Express with appropriate prerequisites. 3. Part B. C# module that connects to the named instance on a network. If named instance is unavailable, modules defaults and provides the connection string to connect to a local SQL CE database ".sdf". 4. The Process a. User A logins into application. b. Selects a SQL Server that is available on the network. c. Logs on to SQL Server (using Windows authentication) d. If network server is unavailable, user logs into a local sdf-based SQL CE database.
