to implement the flowchart. map an excel file using three mapping tables. log all events in the database. generate the required reports. create a schedule for this program to be running ance a day at a specified time.
The system has two main modules. For mapping and formatting. The mapping and formatting modules are already done tested and work fine. It is currently using access database . the things to be done are as follows.
1. change database to mssql 2000
2. create a that will be saved in the database for filename, records, time, if mapped, if formatted, new shemes, new cashiers, new service codes, etc.
3. use the logs to put controls like if today is day A the and yesterday is day B then day b files cannot be mapped if day C files have not been loaded in to the system and day B files cannot be mapped if day C files are not mapped.
4. put all the settings in the database.
5. I want to run this in windows schedule everyday at a specified time.
