The logic for loading the truck is to remain the same. Selection parameter in order to determine which item is to be loaded onto the truck next are the RouteNumber, StopNumber and User. The truck is to be loaded in ?reverse? order of the RouteNumber (descending). Currently, during the course of the iterations, a check is made to assure that the volume and weight is not exceeded. We need to implement an additional check to assure that the maximum weight on a particular set of axles (based on the location of where the package is to be placed) is not exceeded. See the .pdf document and .bmp chart. The chart will serve as the parameters? It appears that a determination will be made to factor the location of where the next ?package? will be placed in relation to the weight and location of the axle in order to assure that the weight is not exceeded. If the weight is exceeded in relation of the location to the weight on the respective axle. In the aforementioned case, one would try the next package for the routenumber and stopnumber. If none are found, go to the next axle. If necessary, you may create a parameter (e.g., DistanceBetweenAxles) which will aid in this calculation. Please make ?clear? notations where changes have been made so as to allow us to test the resultant. Just want to assure that the logic that is already established is not changed as this project is to be a "check" to assure that the weight placed on an axle is not exceeded. Additionally, Route and Stop numbers are the primary keys. Although there may be multiple stop numbers on a truck, they are not to be "mixed" (e.g., don't want shipments for stop5 mixed-in with those of stop2. I believe the application takes care of that already. I have attached a database back herewith.
