Have to create a robot to replace a worker on an assembly line 50cm wide 80cm and 3feet long. The worker the robot is replacing picks up 40x20x5 cm containers placed 50cm apart and sets them gently into a box of any size (it takes them 4-5 seconds to complete this task). I have to create the simplest functional design possible. Decide on where to place the robot. Sketches of robot in workspace, trigger mechanisms, sensors etc. Decide on either a gantry, revolute, or a simple manipulator and show the robots workspace and trajectory plots. Show assumptions of and trajectory/velocity profile of the robot end-effector. Plots for joint angles, velocity, acceleration, torques, and voltage(based on material and design of links). Select the right motor and provide specification. then develop an overall control system to carry out the task and show the results. & write about the improvement of speed/efficiency/productivity if there is any.
I Have done this for a 2-link manipulator and have code on matlab that shows the workspace, joint angles, Velocity, acc, torques, voltage but have never done more than that. I am lost from the start please help as soon as possible even something simple will help.
